M.V. S. Naidu, General Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Andhra Pradesh said, “Lakhs of organized and unorganized workers are employed across various institutions in the state, yet they are being deprived of the basic amenities they deserve. While it is welcoming to see new institutions being established in the state, it is deeply disappointing that their managements are failing to provide fundamental facilities to the workforce”.
The BMS, officially holds the status of India’s largest recognized central trade union organization, membership drive process across the country will take place in March and April 2027. BMS currently holds the status of a recognized union nationwide. The Communists, driven by their ideology, are resorting to desperate tactics to gain recognition. It is deplorable that Communist labour unions are trying to secure recognition through improper means. Enrolling non-working individuals as members just to gain recognition is a shameful act. We must decisively counter the strategies and schemes being deployed by Communist union leaders. It was the missteps of leftist labor leaders in the past that led to the stalling of the membership process.
At present, there is a strong positive response toward BMS among workers across the state. To ensure BMS maintains its recognized status in the state, district presidents and general secretaries must actively drive worker membership over the next six months.” The meeting was held in Sathe Bhavan in Vizag on September 27, 2026.
Warning to AP NDA Government Over Failing ESI Operations – V Radhakrishnan
V. Radhakrishnan, BMS Zonal Organizational Secretary and former ESI Central Board Standing Committee member said, “The central trade union membership process at the national level is scheduled to take place within the next six to seven months. My visit to Andhra Pradesh is specifically aimed at strengthening BMS across the state.
During my recent visit to Ongole district in AP, I observed with deep concern that workers are not receiving even the most basic facilities they are rightfully entitled to. I urge our union representatives to maintain continuous communication and dialogue with company management to address these issues. Furthermore, the performance and functioning of the ESI scheme in Andhra Pradesh are severely lacking. The AP NDA government must pay immediate attention to the proper management and administration of ESI. If the AP NDA government fails to bring about meaningful improvements in this regard, BMS will be forced to launch statewide agitations.”
Review of Performance and Organizing Efforts – Sarma
Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) All-India Vice President and In-Charge, RRB (Regional Rural Banks), said, “We need to focus on improving and enhancing the overall performance of BMS across Andhra Pradesh.” He said that the doctrine of BMS should reach to the workforce in AP.
BMS Railway Employees Union leader Seenappa said, “It is time to strengthen BMS in the state, we must significantly increase our worker membership at the district level.”
Reaching Unorganized Workers to Ensure Family Well-being -Lova Reddy
Kunisetti Lovareddy, BMS State Organizing Secretary said, “Recently I toured various districts to review the functioning and performance of BMS across the state. During my visits, I have been highlighting the importance of properly utilizing ESI benefits to eliminate the insecurity and fear among unorganized workers. BMS leaders must work dedicatedly to bring happiness to the family of every single worker in the state by extending schemes being implemented by the governments.”
