- Khammam Declaration: CM Oaths by Lord Rama for a Clean Sweep in 2029
- Revanth Reddy’s 2029 Blueprint: Target 20 Lok Sabha and 117 Assembly Seats
- CM Predicts Major Seat Increase: 26 Parliament and 182 Assembly Segments by 2029
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a major shift in the state’s political timeline, revealing that the next Telangana Assembly elections will not be held in 2028 as previously expected, but will instead take place in 2029. Speaking at the “Rythu Aashirvada Sabha” in Jagannadhapuram, Khammam district, the Chief Minister explained that this delay is due to the upcoming nationwide delimitation process. According to Reddy, this restructuring will significantly expand Telangana’s political landscape, raising the number of Lok Sabha seats from 17 to 26 and increasing Assembly constituencies from 119 to 182. Taking a solemn oath in the name of Lord Rama of Bhadrachalam before the people of Khammam, he confidently mapped out a dominant future for the Congress party, predicting they will capture over 20 Parliament seats and 117 Assembly seats, completely wiping the Kalvakuntla family out of the state’s politics.
Focus on Farmer Welfare and National Ambitions

Apart from making strong political statements, the Chief Minister utilized the platform to reinforce the Congress party’s commitment to the agricultural sector. During the event, he officially released ₹1,009.15 crore under the Rythu Bharosa financial assistance scheme, directly benefiting 1.44 lakh farmers across the state. In addition, he presented a massive ₹3,504 crore cheque specifically for maize farmers and distributed electronic patta dar passbooks to the beneficiaries. Addressing the gathering, Reddy emphasized that the state leadership is working with the singular determination to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India. He announced that before the next elections, the Congress party would organize a historic public meeting in the undivided Khammam district with an expected attendance of five lakh people, where Rahul Gandhi would be invited as the chief guest. He assured that local party workers would not rest until these goals are achieved.
Severe Backlash Against BRS Leadership

In an emotionally charged speech, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) top leaders K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), and T. Harish Rao. He compared the opposition leadership to a divided “Kaurava family” where members cannot stand one another. Terming KCR as a “Papala Bhairavudu” (man of sins), Reddy claimed that the former Chief Minister has been trapped inside his own farmhouse by the public verdict. He openly challenged KCR to get ready for an upcoming political “Kurukshetra” battle, asserting that the people of Telangana would never allow the BRS “poisonous tree” to grow again after enduring ten years of their misrule. Furthermore, he raised doubts about internal cracks within the opposition, questioning whether Harish Rao is secretly holding discussions with the BJP or if he even plans to remain inside the BRS.
Technical Justifications and Warning to Opposition

“Our government will protect the state from flawed projects. Reopening the Kannepalli pumphouses would cause a massive disaster, submerging 44 villages along with the holy Bhadrachalam temple.”
Reddy firmly dismissed the BRS demand to activate the Kannepalli pumphouses, criticizing their engineering decisions. He concluded by asserting that free electricity is a fundamental “patent” of the Congress party. In a sharp and witty warning to his political rivals who criticize the state’s power supply, he stated that the electricity infrastructure is so active now that anyone trying to touch the live wires would be instantly burnt to ashes.
