TDP Leadership and Public Unrest
The J C Diwakar Reddy’s actions and gestures, particularly abusive language against legal community and sometimes against his own party leaders in Ananthpur district turned out to be a headache to not only the police and State government but also Telugu Desam leaders. The unrefined statements against the lawyers angered the lawyers and the advocates condemned his statements and submitted memorandums to the concerned officials. It is fact that JC is allowed to harass the YSRCP leaders in Tadipatri, but within the Telugu Desam in Anathpur opposed his harsh and undemocratic language against YSRCP leaders. Sometimes, JC took exception TD leaders who are not coming to his support.
TDP Leadership Reportedly Angered Over JC Prabhakar Reddy’s Conduct
District political analysts believe that the political conduct of senior TDP leader and Tadipatri Municipal Chairman, JC Prabhakar Reddy, has become a major headache for the party leadership. TDP leaders themselves are openly admitting that JC’s controversial remarks have put the ruling party in an embarrassing position. As a result, party leaders are concerned that the TDP’s position is weakening day by day. The party cadre opines that taking disciplinary action against JC would ultimately benefit the party.
Concerns Over Public Utterances and Local Unrest
The local public is expressing disgust over JC Prabhakar Reddy repeatedly holding press conferences and using abusive language against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). The residents of Tadipatri town are living in constant fear, uncertain of what might happen next, where, and when. There is an ongoing debate about why both the government and the TDP leadership remain silent despite JC’s allegedly disruptive behavior. Criticism is mounting that the government is dealing with him too leniently. TDP leaders themselves are worried about what the fate of the party cadre will be if the YSRCP comes to power in 2029.
Chaos at Tadipatri Government Hospital
The tense atmosphere at the Tadipatri Government Hospital reached a breaking point four days ago when an outbreak of violence by JC Prabhakar Reddy’s followers left patients and medical staff in a state of sheer panic. The unrest traceably began at a local tea center in Tadipatri, where a YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) worker was violently assaulted by JC’s followers. Desperate to secure medical attention for the victim, his friends and fellow YSRCP cadre rushed him to the government hospital for immediate treatment. However, JC’s followers reportedly tracked them down, launching a coordinated attempt to attack the injured worker inside the medical facility.
The situation rapidly deteriorated as the attackers hurled stones at the hospital building for nearly half an hour, shattering windows and compromising the safety of the premises. Terrified by the escalating violence and the sound of crashing stones, vulnerable patients scrambled for safety—some hiding beneath their cots, while others fled the hospital entirely through the back exits. The chaos was only contained after police forces rushed to the scene and managed to de-escalate the situation, eventually convincing the aggressive mob to retreat from the hospital grounds.
Allegations of Political Violence
Members of the ruling party acknowledge that a series of attacks on YSRCP leaders took place between 2024 and 2026. JC’s recent warning—stating that he has shortlisted 24 YSRCP leaders and will not spare them—has raised fears among the public that riots might break out in Tadipatri. Even the police department is reportedly shocked by the warnings issued by JC Prabhakar Reddy. On the other hand, the public is astonished by the alleged bias of the police in favor of the TDP.
Kethireddy’s Legal Resource
Former MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy has expressed deep concern over the attacks on YSRCP leaders over the past two years. Accusing JC of behaving like a “street rowdy,” Kethireddy has approached the courts for redressal. JCP’s unrestrained speeches in front of the media have drawn widespread criticism, leaving political circles baffled by his erratic rhetoric. Consequently, TDP leaders from Anantapur are now openly demanding that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu intervene and take immediate action.
