Former Minister and BRS leader Puvvada Ajay Kumar launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, claiming that he lacks the awareness and responsibility shown by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu regarding irrigation water usage. Speaking to the media during his visit to the undivided Khammam district on Sunday, Ajay Kumar accused the Chief Minister of doing an injustice to the people of Telangana.
He pointed out that while the Telangana government is failing to lift water from the Kaleshwaram project, Chandrababu Naidu is smartly utilizing the Pattiseema project downstream to divert water to the Krishna Delta, ensuring lush and prosperous crops in Andhra Pradesh.
The BRS leader demanded that Revanth Reddy act wisely like Naidu, lift the Kaleshwaram water, and supply it to local farmers instead of letting it go to waste and allowing Telangana’s share to flow away to Andhra.
“Congress Government Running an Anti-People Administration”
Shifting his focus to governance, the former minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar alleged that the Revanth Reddy administration is running a completely anti-people rule in Telangana. He stated that the Congress government has totally failed to implement the promises it made during the elections, leaving farmers, youth, women, and the unemployed in deep distress. Instead of addressing public grievances, the Chief Minister is reportedly wasting his time making personal attacks against opposition leaders just to divert public attention from his government’s failures. Ajay Kumar noted that developmental works across the state have completely slowed down, leading to growing dissatisfaction among all sections of society. He urged the government to stop playing politics, fulfill its poll guarantees immediately, and focus on transparently implementing welfare schemes for the state’s development.
