BRS Sounds Battle Cry in Penuballi Over 1000 Days of Congress Rule
Massive rally with women; protest marked by “Vanta Varpu”
The Vanta-Varpu of Bharat Rastra Samithi organised by former MLA and BRS state leader Sandra Venkata Veeraiah evoked good response. Thousands of BRS activists took part the agitation and exposed the failures of Congress government policies. He criticized the Congress government, stating that despite completing 1000 days in power, it has severely deceived the public by failing to implement the promises made during the elections.
As part of the BRS initiative titled “Porubata” Against the Failures of 1000 Days of Congress Rule” to expose the anti-people policies of the government, a massive protest was organized at the Penuballi mandal center. Under the leadership of Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, thousands of women, BRS leaders, and activists held a huge rally from the Penuballi Guest House to the Tehsildar office, turning the streets of Penuballi pink.
Demonstrators held placards and raised slogans demanding the immediate implementation of the 6 guarantees, 13 declarations, and 420 promises pledged by the Congress government in Telangana. Subsequently, they staged a Vanta Varpu (cooking on the road) protest in front of the Tehsildar office to express their opposition to the Congress government.

He lashed out, “The Congress government promised during elections to make 1 crore women crorepatis and pay Rs 2,500 monthly to every woman, yet failed to implement these even after 1000 days.” He further criticized the government for ignoring promises such as scooties for female students, a sovereign of gold under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak, housing for all eligible beneficiaries, and pension hikes.
Sandra mocked the administration, saying, “The Congress government remembers public welfare only when BRS takes to the streets to protest.” He cited the Congress leaders’ sudden rush to distribute sarees immediately after BRS announced the Penuballi ‘Vanta Varpu’ program as proof of this behavior.
He advised that accusing opposition parties instead of focusing on governance would not solve people’s problems. Sandra Venkata Veeraiah affirmed that BRS will not stop its struggle until all 6 guarantees, 13 declarations, and 420 promises are fully implemented, promising continuous grassroots-to-state-level agitation. Expressing delight over the massive turnout of women, he extended his heartfelt thanks to all participating women, BRS leaders, activists, and supporters.
