KHAMMAM: Former Minister and BRS leader Puvvada Ajay Kumar has stated that the Congress government’s alleged conspiracies to paralyze the Kaleshwaram project out of political vendetta against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao have utterly failed.
Releasing a press note, Ajay Kumar credited the continuous agitations and relentless pressure mounted by BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao for forcing the state government to restart the motors at the Nandi Medaram and Gayatri pump houses.
Kaleshwaram is Telangana’s Lifeline
Describing Kaleshwaram as the absolute lifeline of Telangana, Ajay Kumar recalled that KCR conceptualized and constructed the mega project with visionary foresight to secure the state’s agricultural and drinking water needs, especially during drought-like conditions and low rainfall.
Urging the government to keep politics aside for the welfare of the public, the BRS leader demanded full-scale maintenance of the Kaleshwaram project and called for all pump houses to be brought back into effective operation to safeguard the interests of Telangana’s farmers.
