Former Minister and BRS leader Puvvada Ajay Kumar has launched a scathing attack on the current administration, stating that the “inefficient rule” of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy must end for the state to prosper. Speaking at a massive Maha Dharna held by the BRS party in front of the Khammam Collectorate on Friday, he declared that the return of KCR as Chief Minister is the only way to bring back the “Golden Age” of Telangana. He criticized the Congress government for failing to support farmers, noting that while KCR ensured every single grain was purchased even during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the current government is struggling to even open procurement centers.

The BRS leader highlighted the growing distress among farmers, demanding that the government immediately set up maize procurement centers and provide a proper Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy. He pointed out severe issues like the shortage of urea and the unreliable power supply, which have made farming difficult. Ajay Kumar alleged that the state ministers are neglected their duties and are instead focused on “commissions, percentages, and land deals.” He warned the government that if the farmers’ issues are not resolved quickly, they will start protesting at every procurement center across the district.

The protest was attended by several senior BRS leaders, including District President Tata Madhu, Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, and former MLAs Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Kandala Upender Reddy. They joined Ajay Kumar in criticizing the government to stop playing political games and focus on the immediate needs of the agricultural community before the situation escalates further.
