Former Minister and BRS leader Puvvada Ajay Kumar has strongly criticized the current Congress government, demanding a report on the development work completed since Revanth Reddy took office. Speaking at a meeting of BRS key workers at Katta Narasimha Rao’s residence in Wyra, Ajay Kumar alleged that the Congress government has managed to accumulate as much debt in just two and a half years as the BRS government did in ten years. Despite having three ministers from the Khammam district, he claimed that development remains non-existent and accused the government of focusing on demolishing the houses of the poor rather than helping them.

BRS to Launch Phased Protests Against Alleged Public Fund Looting
During the meeting, the former minister highlighted the plight of the Velugumatla Bhudan victims, noting that only 310 houses were allocated out of 820 eligible victims. He promised that once the BRS returns to power, all remaining victims would receive their homes. He further alleged that the government has inflated the estimates for the Sitarama Project to ₹19,000 crores as a means to embezzle public funds, warning that the BRS would launch phased protests to stop this alleged exploitation.
Looking toward the future, Ajay Kumar discussed the potential impact of the 33% Women’s Reservation Bill, suggesting that the number of constituencies in the district could increase to 15. He emphasized that the BRS has always prioritized women’s representation and is strengthening its grassroots presence in anticipation of more Parliament and Assembly seats.

The meeting saw the participation of several senior leaders, including former SUDA Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, Khammam BRS City President Pagadala Nagaraju, and various local councilors and mandal presidents.
