K. Chandrashekar Rao’s son and BRS Working President, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), has sparked a major discussion in Telangana politics. During a recent visit to Kyathanpalli in Mancherial district, KTR revealed that the party is seriously considering changing its name back to TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi). He also made it clear that the party will not form any alliances and will contest future elections alone.

Admitting Past Mistakes
Reflecting on the recent Assembly election results, KTR honestly admitted that the party made some mistakes. He noted that these errors created a distance between the leaders and the common people. After conducting a detailed study of their performance, KTR assured supporters that the party would correct these flaws and work according to the people’s wishes. He also criticized the current Congress government, stating they have failed to fulfill their promises.
Confidence in a Comeback
Using a poetic metaphor, KTR said that just because clouds cover the moon for a while, it doesn’t mean the moon has disappeared. Similarly, he believes BRS is only facing a temporary setback and will soon regain its glory. He expressed strong confidence that KCR will become the Chief Minister again. He also pointed out that after the upcoming delimitation process, Telangana’s Assembly seats will increase to 179 and Parliament seats to 28.
Concerns Over Modern Politics
KTR expressed his worry about the growing influence of money power in politics and the silence of intellectuals. While naming legendary leaders like NTR, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, and KCR as great Chief Ministers, he emphasized the need for a shift in the current political atmosphere. These comments have now triggered a fresh debate across the state regarding the party’s future strategy and its identity.
