Massive Rally in Khammam: A Show of Strength
After a long gap, BRS leader and former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar was seen riding ‘Bullet Bandi’ (Royal Enfield motorcycle) once again. He rode from his residence near Mamatha Hospital in Khammam to the BRS district party office. This was a massive rally, with hundreds of party workers and followers accompanying him, shouting slogans like “Jai Puvvada” throughout the route. This public display of strength, a bike rally, is significant because Puvvada had not held such an open road show since his defeat in the 2023 general elections. While he has been attending party events, condolence meetings, and auspicious occasions, he had not organised a public show of force like this until today.
Rally Coincides with ‘KCR Deeksha Divas’

The rally was conducted today (November 29, 2025) as part of the ‘KCR Deeksha Divas’ organised by the BRS party in Khammam. On this occasion, he performed ‘Palabhishekam’ (anointing with milk) to the portrait of KCR, along with BRS District President and MLC Thatha Madhu, former MLAs Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Dr. Banoth Chandravathi, Kandala Upender Reddy and former Zilla Parishad Chairman Lingala Kamal Raj.
However, many believe there is another key reason behind Puvvada’s decision to lead the bike rally. For some time, extensive rumours have been circulating in the district regarding his health. It is widely speculated that Puvvada organised this bike rally specifically to put an end to these rumours. The rally successfully injected a new wave of enthusiasm and energy into the party cadre.
Puvvada’s Strong Response to Health Rumours
Just two months ago, Puvvada had addressed the rumours about his health during a BRS preparatory meeting for the Khammam constituency local body elections. He spoke clearly and confidently to reassure his supporters and counter the negative propaganda.
“When someone is human, they will have minor health issues. But they are spreading rumours that I will not survive or that I will die. This is nothing but your mental poverty. Before the election, they said I would go to Kukatpally (constituency); did I go? After the election, they said I would go to Serilingampally; did I go? Then they said I would go to Jubilee Hills; did I go? Now they are saying I will go up (die); will I go? I own two medical colleges. I have many doctors. I can afford anything. I will kick this small problem out with my boot. I will live for 80 years, and I will be in politics for 70 years.”
Sending a Clear Signal to Rivals
Following this powerful statement, Puvvada also campaigned extensively for the BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha in the Jubilee Hills by-election, where he also made sharp criticisms against his political rival in Khammam constituency, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.

By conducting this bike rally in Khammam today, he has sent a clear message to his political opponents he is active in direct politics and intends to remain so. Puvvada Ajay Kumar has always made efforts to assert his presence in his constituency. Even out of power, he regularly participates in party activities to alleviate any insecurity among the workers. Recognizing that the ongoing rumours about his health are damaging both to him and the party, Puvvada is actively trying to counter them by campaigning and participating enthusiastically in party programs. His act of riding the ‘Bullet Bandi’ once again is a vibrant attempt to put a definitive check on the adverse propaganda.
